The whole world is facing a terrible situation due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Infection with the second wave of the virus increases and the number of new patients is increasing worldwide. Although there are fears in the conscious community about the increase in infection, most people give it less importance. Many have gone for a walk as soon as the long lockdown is over. Due to this, the infection started to increase anew. The situation is the same in our country. Corona infections have begun to increase. Even in the midst of this, people are moving fearlessly in the cities and villages; many of them are wandering around unnecessarily and without following the hygiene rules. Even though the school is not open, the parents are going out with the children.
Mutations of the virus occur over time. In the case of the Spanish flu, the virus was modified in the second wave. A total of three waves of Spanish flu were observed in the early nineteenth century. The second wave was more severe than the first. So there is no way to sit back and relax.
Meanwhile, the rate of new infections is increasing in different countries of the world. The incidence of the new coronavirus is also on the rise. Experts say that it is 70 times stronger than before. The coronavirus has become much stronger and is becoming infected. It is not possible to say where this situation will end. Since the vaccine has not yet arrived, strict adherence to hygiene rules is, by far, the best preparation. Everything is normally going, which does not mean that the corona infection is over. Everything has been opened up for socio-economic reasons, for livelihood, not because the epidemic is over. We need to keep in mind that there is no normality like walking, festivals, socializing, gathering people. Many say the death toll has dropped. But it has started to grow again.
Older people in the family or anyone with diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, or complex problems need to be aware.
According to the World Health Organization, Corona likes the way people love to live. The more ordinary people try to stay together, go for walks, mix with more people, the more it will be beneficial to spread Corona. This year, therefore, everyone must give up a normal life. Rules must be followed until vaccinations are given, and the incidence of Corona is reduced. Because Corona didn’t go and no one can say for sure when she will go.
The second wave of coronavirus has started in countries like the rest of the world. But people have no fears about the virus. The government has declared ‘No Mask, No Service,’ campaigning for compliance with hygiene and social distance protection. But no one frowned at that. Public transport, hat bazaars, shopping malls, markets, launch-steamers are not following the hygiene rules. Mobile courts have taken to the field to force people to wear masks but to no avail.
It isn’t easy to adhere to the social distance in our country. But it is very important to do things like wearing a mask or washing hands. The climate of Bangladesh is warm, and the humidity is very high; this is one reason why many people do not feel comfortable wearing masks. But wearing a mask is mandatory.
Pathology, Disease Control, and Research Institute (IEDCR) Adviser. Mushtaq Hossain said people seem to be relaxed at this moment. No one cares about hygiene. Due to this, the infection is increasing. Corona infections will increase if people are not aware of them.
The incidence of respiratory diseases is higher in winter. At that time, children and adults are more prone to pneumonia, cold, fever, and cough. There is a risk of developing diseases like pneumonia. When these diseases occur, the body’s immune system becomes weak. In this case, the complication increases when the coronavirus is infected. In winter, people stay at home more. And the virus spreads more in closed places. In this situation, Corona can become fatal.
Experts say that winter causes colds, coughs, asthma, and bronchitis. There are some viral fevers for the season change. Tonsillitis, sinusitis, and other diseases. If these patients are infected due to Corona, their physical condition may worsen. So there is no substitute for caution.
The Prime Minister’s physician, Professor of Medicine. ABM Abdullah said there is no scientific explanation for the increase in Corona in winter. But since it is closed in winter. There are many people in office-court. So at this time, there is a danger that Corona will spread quickly. That is why so much emphasis is being placed on compliance with hygiene rules. Wearing a mask can keep you safe from 80 percent corona. That is why ‘no mask, no service’ has to be implemented. There is no substitute for awareness.
Meanwhile, children are at high risk of corona infection in winter. Children become carriers because they cannot be careful. Although they do not have their symptoms, they are infecting the elderly in the family. They have become bored at home as the school-college has been closed for a long time. Even if they have to ride a bicycle to play, they go out in the afternoon, which puts them at risk.
How to prepare to survive Corona
Don’t go out unnecessarily. Come back home quickly after work. You are the most valuable person in your family. So do not take unnecessary risks. Follow the utmost caution when going out. Adhere to as much distance as possible. You must wear a face mask outside the house. Do not open the mask. Continue the habit of washing your hands frequently. Follow the rules of sneezing and coughing. If you feel sick, fever, cough or sore throat, tastelessness, no matter how mild the symptoms, keep yourself away from everyone. Do not mix with everyone until tested or consulted by a physician. Stay away from everyone in the house. Now many are having mild symptoms, and everyone is walking around with it. Do not show unnecessary heroism. In winter, our travels, festivals, ceremonies increase. But this winter, avoid any public gatherings, festivals, ceremonies, crowds. If you want to celebrate the festival, follow the hygiene rules with a limited number of people. Do not go out with children unnecessarily. Educational institutions are still closed. So you can’t take them for a walk on the beach, at a resort or a relative’s house. Get the flu or pneumonia vaccine if necessary.
